My wife phoned for an appointment yesterday morning and was informed a doctor would ring back. We waited at home all morning and no phone call. We rang again at 2 pm and was informed she was not on the system and no explanation was given. Eventually a doctor rang her and she was given a telephone consolidation.

I have tried to speak to a doctor with regard to my child who was diagnosed with a condition, I was advised that a doctor would ring me back which they did not, I spoke to the receptionist as I was extremely worried as I was told my child needed a scan of his abdomen, as there was a risk of damage to his spleen, the receptionist thought it was funny and sniggered down the phone, I then advised her that I was ringing from work and that my work colleagues could hear her unprofessionalism, I asked to speak to her manager who was not available and I then asked to speak to the Practice Manager as I was going to put a complaint in, I left my details and asked for him to ring me to date I am still waiting, then the next thing I receive a letter saying that I was sharp with the reception staff, this is an absolute joke, and my son 7 weeks later has just got an appointment, and I am still awaiting the practice manager to call me. it's as well his spleen did not get knocked. I am very disappointed with not the doctors as I have always had a great repore with them and they have always been very caring, but the Reception Staff and practice manager need training, not all of them just a few as they can be so rude and unhelpful, the information they pass to the doctor's I feel is not correct or they would not have as many complaints.

The receptionists think the are triage nurses. When I called to make an appointment with a doctor, I was asked to describe what was the issue. This is in no way a receptionist job. They are not governed by doctor/patient confidentiality. I refuse to discuss any of my health issue/concerns with a non-medical body. I was forced to tell what was wrong and then told a doctor would give me a call to see whether it was necessary for me to be seen. I received a callback from the doctor roughly 4hrs later and was told that if I was that unwell, to just go to A&E. Shockingly awful, dreadful, if not lamentable service. This would be my fourth surgery and it has to be the most abysmal of all, providing substandard and extremely unsatisfactory service. Lazy staff representing doctors who can’t be bothered anymore with their patients.

This doctors is a disgrace. It had been arranged that I would go for tests up at Causeway Hospital by my current GP at Ballyclare Group Practice as I was in the process of switching to another GP. I had the tests and was told my results had to be sent back to the GP that had referred me for them to be done. I was told they would be sent and I would get the results within a week. A months later and after constantly ringing the Ballyclare Group Practice and there unhelpful staff I find out that the results had been sent to the GP at Ballyclare and that he was supposed to forward them to my new GP which he hadn’t, all this had to be sorted out by my new GP and a month and a half later I am still waiting on results from something that should have taken a week. Sent on a wild goose chase my the practice for weeks. I work and pay towards the NHS I expect at least the common courtesy of a helpful voice at the end of the phone. Completely inept.
